SRINAGAR: Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik has been freed by Indian forces after being held for more than three months on Saturday night, a private news channel reported.
According to media reports, the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) was released on bail and is due to address a press conference on Sunday (today).
He was being kept in solitary confinement after his arrest on July 8 – the same day Indian forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani in an encounter triggering massive protests in the occupied valley against Indian occupation.
The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader was kept in inhumane conditions under illegal detention.
