QUETTA: At least three alleged terrorists including commander of a banned outfit were killed and nine were held in an exchange of fire with security forces in Hoshab area of Balochistan.
According to an FC spokesman, law enforcement agencies and frontier corps conducted a joint operation in the area of Kalwa, Hooshab and during exchange of fire local commander of a banned outfit Akhtar Nadeem and two of his accomplices were killed.
At least four hideouts of the terrorists were also destroyed during the operation while seven other suspects were arrested from the area. The law enforcement agencies have also recovered two SMGs, four rifles, three shotguns, hundreds of bullets, anti-state literature and narcotics from their hideouts.
Meanwhile, the Counter Terrorism Department’s (CTD) officials conducted a raid in a hideout at Bhatta Chowk in Lahore and arrested two alleged terrorists. They were said to be linked with banned outfit Hizb-ut-Tehrir and they were identified as Shoaib Daood and Hassan Ali. They have been shifted to undisclosed location for further investigations.
