ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on Saturday evening, said Maryam Nawaz, daughter of the PM, in her tweet on Friday.
“Prime Minister will Insha’ Allah be arriving tomorrow evening. Allah has been Kind,” Maryam Nawaz tweeted.
She also thanked the people for their kind prayers and wishes. It may be mentioned here that Nawaz Sharif had underwent a successful cardiac-surgery in London on May 31 and since then was recovering fast in London.
In another development, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday stated that an airliner has been dedicated for the return of Nawaz Sharif from London.
With reference to media reports, regarding a PIA aircraft being deputed for PM’s return to Pakistan, a PIA Spokesperson clarified that due to his health issues, PM Office had partly been shifted to London, where a Camp Office had been set up.
“Now that the Nawaz Sharif has recovered after surgery and is allowed to travel, the whole Camp Office has to be shifted back to Pakistan. On PIA’s regular flights so many seats were not available due to which the only option was to dedicate an aircraft,” he added.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said there would not be any significant delay in other flights due to the PM’s special flight, as alternate arrangements had been made by the airlines.
Referring to media reports about the flight’s financial impact on PIA, the airline’s spokesperson clarified that ‘the figures are totally baseless and grossly exaggerated’.
